BANJALUKA - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic has said that today’s press release issued by the PDP is nothing else but an attempt to turn attention from the fact that party representatives, led by failed political reasons, did not attend a solemn parade on the occasion of Republika Srpska Day which citizens greeted with enthusiasm.

FOCA - The Republika Srpska Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Petar Djokic, has said that the construction of the Buk Bijela hydro power plant will start this year, that the construction is estimated to cost around KM 400 million and that the hydro power plant will be 100% owned by Srpska, that is, the Republika Srpska Electric Power Corporation.

FOCA - The textile plant “Trend Tex”, which produces medical uniforms and which currently employs 65 workers, 45 of whom have signed employment contracts and the remaining are on a two-month training course, was solemnly put into operation today in Velecevo near Foca by the Republika Srpska Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Petar Djokic, Foca Mayor Radisav Masic and the owner of Trend-Tex Company, Sucko Hadzijakupovic.

BANJALUKA - In keeping with the practice regarding interstate facilities, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology will ask the relevant Serbian Ministry to conduct the administrative procedure for issuing a permit for the repair of the bridge which connects Zvornik and Mali Zvornik in Serbia, said the Republika Srpska Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology, Srebrenka Golic.

PRIJEDOR - The commander of the 1st Infantry Battalion of the BiH Armed Forces, Col. Savo Vidakovic, has said that the cooperation with the Prijedor city authorities and organizations that came into being after the past war was very good in 2017 and expressed the hope that it will be so this year as well.

SARAJEVO - The Embassy of the Russian Federation in BiH has said that claims presented by certain media outlets that Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, supported by Moscow, is forming paramilitary units, are nonsense and senseless fabrications.

SARAJEVO - At a meeting with the BiH Ambassador to Germany, Zeljko Janjetovic, German President Frank Walter Steinmeier has said that he expects much more optimism and progress in the lives of BiH citizens in the year 2018 and in the coming years.

SARAJEVO - A group of workers of Hidrogrdnja Company gathered today in front of the FBiH Government building in Sarajevo demanding to have talks with relevant officials about unpaid salaries and the status of 270 workers of this Company who are about to retire. Since the Government did not react to their protest, they announced a more massive gathering on Monday, January 15.

BELGRADE - The upcoming visit by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Belgrade is of extreme importance for further deepening of cooperation between the two countries, said Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and the Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Chepurin.

THE HAGUE - The Trial Chamber of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals at The Hague has approved extension of parole for the former chief of the Serbian State Security Service, Jovica Stanisic, until April 13, 2018, announced the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals.
