BANJALUKA - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has said that a dramatic plan of the opposition in Srpska is ready for October 6, one day before general elections in BiH, so that elections in Banjaluka could be voided.

GRADISKA - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic has said that a law is being prepared which would stipulate Cyrillic as the main script in Republika Srpska.

GRADISKA - A memorial service was held and wreaths were laid today in the memorial complex in the village of Bok Jankovac on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the defense of Gradiska and Republika Srpska from the aggression of the Croatian Army, when 16 Serb soldiers were killed.

GRADISKA - The Republika Srpska Minister of Labor and Veterans’ Affairs, Milenko Savanovic, said today at a ceremony marking the 26th anniversary of the defense of Gradiska and Republika Srpska from the aggression of the Croatian Army that Republika Srpska should be guarded as the apple of the eye and that soldiers who heroically laid their lives for freedom should be always remembered.

BANJALUKA - The president of the Republika Srpska Veterans’ Organization, Milomir Savcic, has said that the Republika Srpska Government needs to form a new commission to investigate war events in the area of Srebrenica, and that the 2004 report of the commission tasked with investigating events in and around Srebrenica for the period July 10-19, 1995, should be revoked.

BANJALUKA – The Republika Srpska Association of Former Prison Camp Inmates condemns the behavior of the Bosniak authorities in Sarajevo which opened a memorial fountain in Fazlagica Kula, the largest Ustashe stronghold and a killing ground for Serbs in WWII near Gacko, pointing out that these authorities have for years been challenging Serbs’ right to erect monuments and mark places of sufferings of the Serbian people in the past war in the FBiH.

GRADISKA – SDS president Vukota Govedarica has said that “individuals who have nothing to say” will not stop him on the path to a stable, dignified and prosperous Republika Srpska.

SARAJEVO – The Group of Milk and Dairy Producers in the BiH Chamber of Foreign Trade says that the decision of the European Commission to put BiH on the lists “A” and “B,” namely, to allow BiH to export all sorts of milk and dairy products to the EU, is a significant step towards widening the dairy market in BiH.

ISTOCNO SARAJEVO – SNSD vice-president Marko Vidakovic has told SRNA that Republika Srpska institutions are doing everything in their power to prevent a chaos caused by the migrant crisis that was created by BiH institutions through their idleness, and that a coordination body tasked with monitoring the movement of illegal migrants through Srpska has been formed for that purpose.

BANJALUKA – SNSD vice-president Milorad Kojic has told SRNA that the migrant crisis has escalated and become dramatic in BiH, and that the situation in Bihac, where citizens announced protests for Monday, testifies to the truthfulness of this statement.

SARAJEVO – The value of investments in fixed assets of business entities amounted to KM 4,883,034,000 last year in BiH, which is a 6.36% increase in comparison to the year 2016.

BANJALUKA – Traffic has increased at exits from BiH, at the Kostajnica, Ivanica and Zupci border crossings, and at entrances to the country, at the Gradiska and Bijaca border crossings, says the Republika Srpska Automobile Association.


BIHAC – According to the Una Sana Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1,241 migrants arrived in the past ten days in the Canton where there are 5,502 migrants at the moment, which is why a group of citizens of Bihac will hold a protest on Monday, August 13. Bihac Mayor Suhret Fazlic also supported the protest.


KOSOVSKA MITROVICA – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that Serbia will remain with its people in Kossovo and Metohija, and announced that next year it will increase all sorts of aid to Serbs in Kossovo.

BELGRADE – Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and the Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Chepurin, discussed activities and plans for development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the context of the upcoming visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Serbia.

BELGRADE – A book titled “Srebrenica – Unmasking False Self-Accusations” was presented in Belgrade where the author and reviewers said that it is high time for Republika Srpska to distance itself from the Srebrenica report made by Dragan Cavic’s commission and to reject it at the next session of Parliament.


BELGRADE – The director of the Veritas Documentation Center, Savo Strbac, has said that Croatia should face its past from the 1990s, and even the 1940s, and events which led to the ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Croatia. /end/sg
