KOJIC: WE EXPECT COURT TO CONFIRM INDICTMENT AGAINST DUDAKOVIC

BANJALUKA, October 11 /SRNA/ - Head of the Republika Srpska Research Centre of War, War Crimes and Tracing Missing Persons, Milorad Kojic, expects the Court of BiH to confirm the indictment against Atif Dudakovic and 16 commanders and members of the Fifth Corps of the so-called BiH Army for crimes committed against Serb civilians and prisoners of war, on the basis of extensive indictment and evidence.

Kojic has told SRNA that while researching, the Centre collected extensive evidence and provided the prosecutor with 8,000 pages of the material related to identification and exchange, original video documentation, and all other documents confirming the scale of the crimes committed against the Serb population between September 13 and October 10, 1995 in the Krajina area.

He has said that this crime is related to murders, destruction of property, churches and monasteries, and that 763 Serbs were killed during this period, of whom the indictment included the killing of 256 civilians and members of the Republika Srpska Army who were captured and killed.

Kojic has pointed out that these crimes were planned and committed systematically, which is why the qualification of this crime is a crime against humanity.

"It is important that there was no division of the case here, which makes it the biggest case that lies before the BiH judiciary," Kojic has said.

He has added that it is important that the Court of BiH is guided by justice and fairness, and to end this procedure with a long-term imprisonment for Atif Dudakovic and all other indictees.

Kojic has welcomed the efforts made by the prosecutor in this case, adding that the Centre will continue to be available for cooperation.
