ELECTIONS 2018

BANJALUKA - Leader of the People’s Democratic Movement /NDP/ Dragan Cavic stated Wednesday in Banjaluka his party is leaving the Alliance for Victory because the bloc does not exist any longer.

ISTOCNO SARAJEVO - The Serbian Democratic Party regional board of the Sarajevo and Romanija region is asking for a special meeting of the party and early inter-party elections due to poor election results and bad situation within its ranks.

BANJALUKA - Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic says operations of all public enterprises are thoroughly analysed and that no one who has not achieved any positive results will remain in office.

SARAJEVO - The Council of Ministers on Wednesday defined a draft agreement on a loan for additional financing of an energy efficiency project between BiH and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development whose total value is EUR27,276,989, of which amount 60 per cent will be allocated to the Federation of BiH and 40 per cent to Republika Srpska.

SARAJEVO - Council of Ministers Chair Denis Zvizdic says the Council will soon make a decision to enforce the BiH Court ruling cancelling the appointment of Belma Skalonjic as the BiH agent to the European Court of Human Rights and Sandra Malesic as her deputy, because it found they did not meet the requirements for the positions.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says he will go to Brussels for new talks about Kosovo and Metohija and expects the EU to ensure the implementation of the CEFTA agreement.

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with the Union of the Comoros Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohamed El-Amine Souef and thanked his country for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty by deciding to withdraw its recognition of Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence.

BELGRADE - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned in a quarterly report on Kosovo, which will be presented to the Security Council on November 14, that despite the peaceful past three months, there have been several incidents as a result of inter-ethnic tensions.

PODGORICA - Montenegrin police reported on Wednesday they did not register any crimes committed by migrants in Pljevlja lately and called on the citizens to report any such events if they know about them.

ZAGREB - The founder of the Balkans’ biggest private company Agrokor, Ivica Todoric, will be extradited to Croatia by the British police on Wednesday evening. He is facing charges of embezzling millions of euros. /end/ds
