REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik says Republika Srpska and he himself as its president express a deep respect to the State of Austria with which it wants to improve all aspects of relations and that Austrian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Martin Pammer was just an unnecessary obstacle to such cooperation.

BANJALUKA - Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic said operations of all public enterprises are thoroughly analysed and that no one who has not achieved any positive results will remain in office.

BANJALUKA - Ratko Mladic, the first commander of the Army of Republika Srpska, wants Republika Srpska to be maintained, disputes overcome and reconciliation achieved among the main Serb political factors, said his son Darko Mladic.

NEVESINJE - A holy hierarchical liturgy conducted Thursday in the Church of the Holy Ascension of Jesus Christ in Nevesinje by the retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahum-Herzegovina and the Littoral, marks the St Demetrius Day, the patron saint’s day of the municipality of Nevesinje and the Veterans Association of Republika Srpska /BORS/, and a memory of two glorious battles waged in early November in 1992 and 1994 in defence of Republika Srpska.

TREBINJE - Laying of flowers to the monument of Trebinje defenders and commemoration to the veterans held in the Church of Holy Prince Lazar, the Trebinje Veterans Association marked the BORS patron saint’s day on Thursday.

BANJALUKA - National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Cubrilovic wished a happy St Demetrius Day to BORS on Thursday and said that Republika Srpska and its institutions will keep taking care of all veteran categories in a systemic and organised manner.

ISTOCNO SARAJEVO - The Association of Veterans of Security Service of Republika Srpska wished a happy patron saint’s day, St Demetrius Day to all veterans and BORS leaders on Thursday, wishing them to celebrate the holiday in a free homeland for many years.

BANJALUKA - Socialist Party leader Petar Djokic congratulated BORS members and leader Milomir Savcic on their patron saint’s day, St Demetrius Day and expressed the belief that Srpska’s institutions and BORS will keep working together to resolve all veterans’ problems and improve their status.

KOSTAJNICA - Head of the Kostajnica Veterans Association Miroslav Marinkovic told Srna that housing of veterans in Kostajnica is finished.

BANJALUKA - The majority of Banjaluka residents /47 per cent/ positively assessed the implementation of infrastructure projects over the past two years, shows a public poll carried out about the current administration’s two years in office.

BANJALUKA - Police detected 11 migrants in Gradiska who entered Republika Srpska from the neighbouring countries.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

SARAJEVO - BiH Deputy Minister of Security Mijo Kresic says a total of 22,000 illegal migrants have entered Bosnia and Herzegovina since January and that the number is constantly growing, with a record of 5,000 registered in October.

ISTOCNO SARAJEVO - Stasa Kosarac, a member of the SNSD presidency and elected deputy in the House of Representatives of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly, told Srna no lawsuit threats can erase the facts from a problematic and suspicious war-time past of the newly elected Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, Sefik Dzaferovic.

SREBRENICA - Victims’ families expect maximum prison sentences for Naser Oric, the commander of the so-called Army of BiH, and his accomplice Sabahudin Muhic, Branislav Vasiljevic, head of the Association of Families of Captured and Fallen Veterans and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica, said ahead of the defence closing arguments scheduled for Friday.

BOSANSKO GRAHOVO - Brothers Milovan and Zarko Kalaba, Serb returnees in the village of Bastasi in Bosansko Grahovo, need help in resolving their housing problem as their house was burnt down in the war and was never reconstructed.

SERBIA

BRUSSELS - A high-level meeting between Belgrade and Pristina representatives with the mediation of EU diplomacy chief Federica Mogherini will be held in Brussels on Thursday, the EU External Action Service said.

BELGRADE - The Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church said the Serbia’s full sovereignty and integrity in Kosovo and Metohija, guaranteed by the Constitution and Resolution 1244, must not be brought into question and expressed concern that “a possibility of separating if not the entire, then the biggest and most important part of Kosovo from Serbia imposes itself under an alleged ‘border between the Serbs and Albanians’”.

BUDVA - The main celebration of the centennial of the liberation of Boka Kotorska and unification with Serbia was held in Budva on Wednesday evening, where the participants said that the arrival of the Serbian army in 1918 was not a disappearance of Montenegro but its great revival. /end/ds
