REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

 

BANJALUKA - At the first special session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, deputies today elected Nikola Spiric, Dusanka Majkic, Sredoje Novic, Lazar Prodanovic and Mladen Bosic as delegates to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament. Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nedeljko Cubrilovic said today that all the candidate lists for the election of deputies to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament and the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples were submitted within the due time.

BANJALUKA - Prime Minister Designate, Radovan Viskovic, has stated that Srpska is military neutral in terms of BiH's membership in NATO.

BANJALUKA - The Presidency of the Organisation of the Senior Officers of the Republika Srpska Army provides full support to the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and his interpretation that the Resolution on Military Neutrality of Republika Srpska, adopted by the National Assembly, is a framework that must be respected by all political entities in Republika Srpska.

ISTOCNO SARAJEVO – During today's meeting with Chinese Ambassador to BiH, Chen Bo, BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik thanked China for consistent policy towards BiH and respect for its Dayton order, and stressed that he will be working on strengthening the confidence in Dayton BiH, which consists of two equal entities, while in office.

SARAJEVO - BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik has said at the beginning of the meeting between the Presidency members and Deputy Assistant Secretary at US Department of State, Matthew Palmer, that he expects the government at the BiH level to be quickly formed and expressed hope that the Council of Ministers may be formed by the end of the year if this pace is taken.
SARAJEVO - Members of the personal security team of BiH Presidency Chairman, Milorad Dodik, entered the BiH Presidency building today with him, learns SRNA.

SARAJEVO - During a meeting with political directors of the member states of the the Peace Implementation Council’s Steering Board, the members of the BiH Presidency, Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic, expressed the belief that, despite the current situation, progress in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of BiH will take place, the BiH Presidency has announced.

SARAJEVO - High Representative Valentin Inzko stated today that the central topics of the two-day Peace Implementation Council’s /PIC/ session were general elections in BiH, the implementation of election results and the establishment of power, and noted that the constitution of government in Republika Srpska is much faster than in the Federation of BiH.

BRUSSELS - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed that during the talks on the Western Balkans, the Alliance's foreign ministers today adopted a decision to allow BiH to submit its first annual national programme, which is the beginning of the implementation of the NATO Membership Action Plan /MAP/, pointing out that it is up to BiH authorities to decide what to do about this offer.

BRUSSELS - The NATO Integration Commission of the Council of Ministers has already made a draft version of the annual national programme, Deputy Foreign Minister Josip Brkic told reporters in Brussels today, commenting on the decision by the ministers of the North Atlantic Alliance to enable BiH to submit its first annual national programme, which represents the beginning of the application of the Membership Action Plan /MAP/.

SARAJEVO - Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic said today that the activation of the Membership Action Plan /MAP/ is one of the most crucial steps towards NATO integration and "an exceptional incentive for the continuation of reform process."

FEDERATION OF BiH

SARAJEVO - Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Khaldoun Sinno said that the values of air quality in Zenica, Tuzla and Sarajevo are very bad throughout the year, and that the solution of this problem must be addressed with serious and concrete measures.

SERBIA

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - President of the Committee for Assistance to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Milorad Arlov, today attended a protest and performance that was carried out by students from the University of Pristina, transferred to Kosovska Mitrovica, and passed the support of the Republika Srpska leadership.

BELGRADE - Russia believes that the formation of a Kosovo "army" could lead to serious consequences for the security of the Balkans and expresses the hope that international forces will act according to the mandate and, in case of formation of such a structure, take measures to neutralize it, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

BELGRADE - Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang said there will be no war in Kosovo and Metohija, and pointed out that existing problems can be solved through dialogues.

PRISTINA - The president of the interim government in Pristina, Ramush Haradinaj, said today that the self-proclaimed Kosovo will not have an army for North Kosovo, but for the missions such as NATO has in Afghanistan and other countries.
