BELGRADE, January 11 /SRNA/ - Prime ministers of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Ana Brnabic and Radovan Viskovic, today jointly assessed at a meeting in Belgrade that Serbia – Srpska relations are excellent and that both sides are committed to further strengthening of co-operation in all fields.


Brnabic and Viskovic discussed the Foca and Paunci hydro power plants construction projects, which are planned through the memorandum on cooperation in the field of energy and are significant for the electric power companies of Serbia and Republika Srpska.

The planned infrastructure projects were discussed in the meeting, primarily the finalization of the construction of the Ljubovija-Bratunac border crossing and the further dynamics of the motorway construction in accordance with the regional road connection agenda.

Since 2014 Serbia has allocated nearly EUR 22 million for support and projects in Republika Srpska, it was emphasized in the meeting, the Serbian government announced.

The prime ministers of Serbia and Srpska discussed the strengthening of economic cooperation and the possibilities of organising a business forum participated by the businessmen from Serbia and Republika Srpska.
It was also emphasized that the joint session of the two governments, the 10th in a row, will be held in the first half of the year.

Brnabic has said that strengthening cooperation with Republika Srpska is at the same time strengthening the cooperation with BiH for peace, stability and the best possible connection and progress of the entire region.

She has stated that the most important projects for Srpska and Serbia at this moment are the energy and infrastructure ones.

"Serbia will continue to support projects in Republika Srpska, which aims to improve the quality of life of all citizens," the Serbian prime minister has said. /end/vos
