REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA – The Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, today in Banjaluka spoke with Srebrenica Mayor Mladen Grujicic about the current political, economic and security situation in this local community and the region.

BANJALUKA – The Republika Srpska Parliament reviewed today a draft bill on inland navigation which regulates conditions and the way of use of inland waters and their banks in Republika Srpska for navigation, as well as the security of navigation, vessels and ships documents.

BANJALUKA – The Republika Srpska Parliament today reviewed a draft bill on radio amateurism in Republika Srpska. The Republika Srpska Minister of Transport and Communications, Nedjo Trninic, has said that MPs understood the significance of this law.

BIJELJINA – The president of the Bijeljina Regional Chamber of Commerce, Anto Gajic, has said that the construction of the Belgrade-Banjaluka highway, across Bijeljina, and of the Bijeljina-Zvornik-Foca-Trebinje road, is an important prerequisite for overall development and survival of the population.

BANJALUKA – The acting director of the Republika Srpska Secretariat for Displaced Persons and Migrations, Dragan Strbac, spoke today with the president of the Association of Workers and Disabled Workers, Refugees from Croatia with BiH Citizenship, Nikola Puzigaca, who informed him of difficulties faced by refugees from Croatia in realizing the right to pension and recognizing years of service.

BANJALUKA – The Republika Srpska Minister of Trade and Tourism, Dragica Kovacevic, has said that Srpska was among the first in the region to recognize the strategic importance of the Israeli market and that this is why it included the International Tourism Fair in Israel in its calendar of fairs.

DOBOJ – 62,595 voters have been registered for voting in early mayoral election in Doboj that will be held on February 17. They will vote for one of eight candidates in 106 polling stations.

DERVENTA – Members of the Derventa Municipal Assembly adopted today a program of development of sports in the municipality for the period of four years.

NOVI GRAD – Since the beginning of the year, 55 farmers from Novi Grad have signed contracts for the production of cornichons with the German Carl Kuehne Company. Company’s expert associate Milos Djurasinovic has told SRNA that eight contracts have been signed with farmers in the neighboring Krupa na Uni Municipality.

BRATUNAC – At the end of last year, there were 3,421 unemployed persons in Bratunac, which is by 248 less than at the end of 2017 when there were 3,669 unemployed persons registered with the Employment Bureau.

SARAJEVO - The proposed BiH annual national program for the period 2018-2019, sponsored by the BiH Commission for NATO Integration, was removed from the agenda of today’s session of the BiH Council of Ministers in a caretaking capacity, SRNA has learned.

SARAJEVO - Security expert Dzevad Galijasevic has said that multiple killer Edin Gacic is but one of thousands of radical Islamists in the FBiH and that some of them are helping him hide from police.


FEDERATION OF BiH

SARAJEVO – The FBiH Minister of Internal Affairs, Aljosa Campara, said today that certain premises in a place where runaway murder suspect Edin Gacic is believed to be hiding will be searched today.

SARAJEVO – A commemoration for Mahir Begic, a police officer of the FBiH Police Administration who was killed in Suhodol near Tarcin, for whose death is suspected Edin Gacic, was held today in the Police Home in Sarajevo.

BELGRADE – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic thanked the Vice-Prime Minister of Moldova in charge of European integration, Yuri Leanko, for the principled position of Moldova not to recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kossovo and for its support regarding this issue in regional and international organizations.

BELGRADE - As part of the Kossovo Project, the community of American Serbs has submitted a petition with more than 35,000 signatures to US President Donald Trump, the Congress and the State Department asking them to put a stop to the persecution of Orthodox Christians and minority communities in Kossovo and Metohija.
