BANJALUKA, September 20 /SRNA/ - President of Republika Srpska Željka Cvijanović says there will be talk in an upcoming meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and representatives of parliamentary parties from Srpska about the issues important in the national and pragmatic sense.

BELGRADE, September 20 /SRNA/ - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has confirmed that he will meet with representatives of all major parties from Srpska in Belgrade on Saturday in an effort to maintain peace in the region. "SNSD leader Milorad Dodik and SDS leader Mirko Šarović will be there. I believe PDP leader Branislav Borenović and many others will be there too and we will talk about it because we want to maintain peace for Serbs, and not put Serbia’s progress at risk because we want to make progress quicker than others,” said Vučić.

BANJALUKA, September 19 /SRNA/ - President of Republika Srpska Željka Cvijanović asserted that the economic and financial situation in Republika Srpska today is better and that it does not compare to the period of eight years ago when Srpska was having a hard time grappling with crisis and consequences of the global crisis.

BANJALUKA, September 20 /SRNA/ - Minister of Finance Zora Vidović pointed out in a conversation with the newly-appointed Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund Andrew Jewell that Srpska has a stable budget and that its indicators in the first eight months are satisfactory.

GACKO, September 19 /SRNA/ - A formal event and presentation of the Vladimir Ćorović Award to historian Mira Radojević for her work "Srpski narod i jugoslovenska kraljevina 1918-1941" /The Serb People and Yugoslav Kingdom 1918-1941/ opened the Ćorović Gathering of historians and a scientific conference of historians in Gacko on Thursday.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

BANJALUKA, September 20 /SRNA/ - Russian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Petr Ivantsov asserts that SDA’s initiatives foreseeing a reform of the Constitution are contrary to the main principles of the Dayton Peace Agreement and dangerous because they might dismantle the system of ethnic balance in BiH, which may produce very serious consequences.

BANJALUKA, September 20 /SRNA/ - SNSD vice-president Željka Cvijanović stated the SDA was encouraged to issue a declaration by statements of foreign officials who say the Dayton Peace Agreement is not a formula written in stone and that anti-Dayton activity is not to be punished.

BANJALUKA, September 20 /SRNA/ - Socialist Party leader Petar Đokić says his party suggests opening strategic dialogue between Serbs and Bosniaks for the purpose of achieving long-term stability in the region. "Fully respecting the other peoples, it is undisputable that a good relationship between Serbs and Bosniaks is the basis for future stability and relations in the region,” Đokić told Srna regarding a recently adopted SDA declaration confirming a unitary policy in BiH.

SARAJEVO, September 20 /SRNA/ - The sixth regular session of the BiH Presidency began in Sarajevo on Friday. The agenda has not been announced and regular documents that arrived in the Presidency are expected to be discussed. Presidency members previously met with ambassadors of the United States, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany to BiH.

FOČA, September 20 /SRNA/ - Professor Darko Đogo of the Faculty of Theology in Foča points out that the Charter of Ban Kulin, which was written 830 years ago, proves that the Orthodox, Christian and Serbian identity of the Bosnian medieval state cannot be disputed.

BANJALUKA, September 20 /SRNA/ - SNSD spokesman Radovan Kovačević has told Srna that he is appalled by the stance of the Sarajevo Oslobođenje journalist Gordana Katana that the SNSD MP Srđan Mazalica, as she said, "should kill himself and save the planet from the prospects of his reproduction".

SARAJEVO, September 20 /SRNA/ - His Grace Hrizostom, Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosnia, is going to consecrate a reconstructed Chapel of St Vitus Day Heroes on St Michael’s Day, October 12 at the Serb Orthodox cemetery of St Archangels Michael and Gabriel at Koševo in Sarajevo.

BELGRADE, September 20 /SRNA/ - A formal event will be held in Belgrade on Saturday to mark the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, which will be attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and all members of the Serbian Government.
