REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - Assistant Minister of Finance Milorad Đurđević said today that Republika Srpska's public debt was BAM 4.04 billion on December 31 last year, or 38.22 percent of gross domestic product /GDP/, while the total debt is BAM 5.17 billion or approximately 48.89 percent of GDP. Explaining the information about Republika Srpska’s debt at the end of last year to the MPs of the Srpska National Assembly, Đurđević said that the 2018 GDP amounted to BAM 10.59 billion. RTRS Director General Draško Milinović said earlier at the session that others owe more to the RTRS than the RTSR owes to others. "We are also taking legal action to resolve these issues," Milinović said in his closing remarks on the RTRS work performance report for 2017, with a work plan for 2018, a financial management audit and work performance report for 2018 with a work plan for that year and the financial statement audit report.

EAST SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik says adoption of new principles in the Balkans, which Albin Kurti is advocating for Shqiptars, that is Albanians, in an attempt to create the so-called “greater Albania,” would concern other nations in the Balkans too, primarily the Serbs.

BANJALUKA, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and Belarusian Ambassador to BiH, headquartered in Budapest, Alexander Ponomarev, agree that cooperation in agriculture and industrial production needs to be intensified, and further strengthened in culture and sports.

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić and Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen met in Vienna today, stating that BiH records a surplus in economic relations with Austria, which is the largest investor in BiH.

BANJALUKA, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - Minister of Security at the Council of Ministers in caretaking capacity, Dragan Mektić, said that the return of BiH citizens, the former members of the "Islamic State" from Syria has been postponed until further notice.

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - BiH imports large quantities of beef and baby-beef, thus it is necessary for the inspections of Srpska and FBiH and the BiH Veterinary Office to get involved to protect the population from Listeria disease registered in some EU countries, said Mirko Šarović, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations at the Council of Ministers in caretaking capacity.

MOSTAR, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - The authorities of the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ have issued a Decision on Borrowing of the FBiH through the Issue of Treasury Bills in order to raise funds for the financing of expenditures determined by the 2019 FBiH Budget, in nominal amount up to BAM 50 million, with a deadline maturity of 364 days.

ODŽAK, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - President of the SNSD Odžak Municipal Board Damir Ivetić told SRNA today that Serbs in the Posavina Canton expected Elvis Živković, a Croat who identified himself as a Serb, a member of the Posavska Party, would not be appointed a deputy speaker of the Canton Assembly and a delegate in the FBiH House of Peoples from among Serbs.

BELGRADE, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said a compromise solution for Kosovo and Metohija in the interests of stability and the future of the entire region could be achieved by respecting Serbia's legitimate interests.

PRIŠTINA, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - Leader of the radical Albanian Self-Determination Movement, Albin Kurti, said today that he is convinced that this movement and the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo /DSK/ will form a new government of self-declared Kosovo, and announced that the future government would consist of 12 ministries, and a third will be led by women.

BELGRADE, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ - A group of Albanian illegal loggers from Podujevo villages fired at a patrol of the Serbian Army in the Kuršumlija village of Mrče, near central Serbia's administrative line with Kosovo, Belgrade-based Vecernje Novosti reported today.
