SERBIA BY ROAD CONSTRUCTION AVOIDED TO BECOME BLIND BRANCH

NIŠ, NOVEMBER, 9 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik has said that Serbia thanks to the construction of highways has avoided to become a blind branch, what was coming to it because it had the bad roads and communications.

"I am honored to witness Serbia's important contribution. This has been waiting for decades and it is one of the most important routes", Dodik, who attended the ceremony of the opening of the eastern branch of Corridor 10 today, told to Republika Srpska Radio Television.

He has expressed the satisfaction that the company "Integral inženjering" from Republika Srpska was working on the Bancarevo tunnel, which was the most demanding on the section from Niš towards the Bulgarian border, and thus showed regional reputation as one of the serious contractors.

Dodik has emphasized that construction of the highways in Serbia is important for Republika Srpska, and recalled that construction of the road from Kuzmin to Rača has recently begun, connecting the Republika Srpska and Serbia in the best possible way.

According to him, from Bulgaria to Croatia, Hungary, Republika Srpska is far easier to reach today than it was before.

"The construction of large roads is something that guarantees success in the development of every state. The people use the highways to come, and on small roads people somehow go and disappear", Dodik said.

Dodik, together with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, attended the opening of the section from Prosek to Crvena Reka, completing the 86.8 kilometer highway from Niš towards the border with Bulgaria near Dimitrovgrad.

The eastern branch of Corridor 10 is characterized by 87 bridges, five tunnels, five traffic loops. /end/bo
