BANJALUKA, APRIL 9 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Višković has said that the first shipment of medical equipment and aid from Russia is of extreme importance in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.


“This is a significant aid for our health sector. Experts from Russia have arrived to help our doctors who have been struggling heroically against the pandemic,” Višković told reporters after the first shipment of medical equipment and aid for the fight against the coronavirus epidemic arrived from Russia.

He has said that Republika Srpska institutions addressed Russia and President Vladimir Putin asking for help.

“Serb BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik and I sent a letter to Russia, to which it reacted and sent aid. This is the aid to those who asked for it for which we are very grateful,” Višković said.

On behalf of the Republika Srpska Government and institutions, he thanked Russia and Vladimir Putin for the aid.

“The disinfection of public spaces is important in the fight against the virus. The best world experts with the best equipment and disinfectants arrived, and we will make an effort to disinfect all our major cities. The disinfection of the Banjaluka University Clinical Center, the Students’ Dormitory Nikola Tesla, that is, of places with the largest concentration of people positive for the virus, will start tomorrow in Banjaluka, after which we will move on,” Višković said. /end/sg
