SREBRENICA LIBERATION DAY CELEBRATED

BRATUNAC, JULY 11 /SRNA/ - The Association of Republika Srpska Citizens "East Alternative" marked today the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Srebrenica and the beginning of the return of Serbs to their looted and devastated apartments and destroyed properties.

On that occasion, a round table was organized in Bratunac, from which it was said that the special significance of the liberation of Srebrenica was that the massacre of Serbs in the middle Podrinje was stopped, and more than 3,500 lives were given for freedom.

The president of the Association "East Alternative" Vojin Pavlović, speaking about the importance of the liberation of Srebrenica, has said that the young generations of Serbs appreciate the freedom brought to them by the Army of Republika Srpska, led by Commander General Ratko Mladić.

"General Mladić is our hero, and thanks to him, the old Vatican idea of destroying the Serb people on the left side of the Drina river was prevented", Pavlović pointed out.

He has said that he would insist that the celebration of the day of the liberation of Srebrenica become a tradition, and that this date should be included in the calendar of important historical events for Republika Srpska, as well as should be studied in school textbooks as a brilliant action of the Army of Republika Srpska in which no civilians were killed.

Lawyer Mirko Blagojević has said that the celebration of the day of the liberation of Srebrenica should lead to the truth about all the events related to Srebrenica in the last war, as well as the responsibility of the perpetrators of the crimes, after which it can be worked at reconciliation.

"General Mladić is not guilty for Srebrenica, but Alija Izetbegović and Richard Holbrooke, as Bill Clinton and Haris Silajdžić know better. They sacrificed Srebrenica to launch NATO action on Serb positions. Izetbegović has ordered a suicidal breakthrough of the 28th Division and that Division left Srebrenica before entering General Mladić on July 11", Blagojević explained.

Nobody has been held responsible for the numerous Muslim mass crimes against Serb civilians around Srebrenica and Bratunac even 25 years after the war. /end/bo
