REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - A solemn reception was held this evening in Banjaluka on the occasion of the EU Office moving in new premises. The reception was attended by Republika Srpska President Zeljka Cvijanovic and Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic.

BANJALUKA - Preserving the language and script is crucial for the preservation of the national identity of a nation, and it is a national task to explain to children in elementary and secondary schools the importance of learning and nurturing the Serbian language and Cyrillic, said the Assistant Republika Srpska Minister for Pre-School, Elementary and Secondary Education, Radmila Kocic Cucic.

BIJELJINA - On International Mother Language Day, the Bijeljina City Board of the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society, Prosvjeta, and writers sent a message about the importance of preservation of the Serbian language and the Cyrillic script.

NOVI GRAD - A poetry evening was held this evening in the National Library in Novi Grad with students of the Djuro Radmanovic Secondary School Center, on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, February 21.


BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA

SARAJEVO - The Russian Ambassador to BiH, Petr Ivantsov, said this evening in Sarajevo that the Russian military force is not directed against anyone and that it supports efforts of the Russian Federation leadership in preserving peace and strengthening stability.

BANJALUKA - Members of the Steering Board of the Indirect Tax Authority /ITA/ of Bosnia and Herzegovina failed to reach agreement today on a solution to the problem of execution of the BiH Court ruling in favor of Republika Srpska, according to which the ITA should pay Srpska KM 15 million with interest rate because of the lack of decisions on settlement in 2009 and 2010.

SARAJEVO - Inspectors of the FBiH Tax Administration conducted 326 inspections in 55 municipalities and discovered 77 illegal workers, sealed 43 buildings and issued fines totaling KM 452,200 in 182 cases.

BELGRADE - The Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said that he and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at a meeting today in Belgrade spoke about developments in Kossovo and added that Republika Srpska will continue acting in unison with Serbia.

BELGRADE - Defender of the Fatherland Day was marked in the Russian Embassy in Belgrade in the presence of His Holiness the Patriarch of the Serbs, Irinej, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik.
