POLITICAL STRUCTURES IN FBiH WANT TO HARM SRPSKA

SARAJEVO, July 17 /SRNA/ - Head of the SNSD Caucus in the BiH House of Representatives Staša Košarac told SRNA Tuesday there were political structures in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina that wanted to politically or economically harm Republika Srpska through their political activities in the BiH institutions.

After yesterday's outvoting of Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik concerning the decision to halt the construction of the Pelješac Bridge, Košarac said it could be recognized as a need of a Bosniak member of the Presidency /Šefik Džaferović/ and another Bosniak member of the Presidency /Željko Komšić/ to create a problem for Republika Srpska with possible signatures withdrawal from the agreement on building a bridge on the Sava River.

According to him, Džaferović and Komšić took the opportunity to create a problem related to the Pelješac Bridge construction on the day the agreement on building a bridge on the Sava River in Gradiška was signed with Croatia, which is very important from the aspect of economic and financial development of Srpska

"This practice continues and the best model proving it is the outvoting of a Serb member of the BiH Presidency by an integrated and identical action by the remaining two Presidency members," Košarac said.

He points out the question of who Komšić represents is also raised or what Croats in BiH would say about what he is doing when it comes to violation of relations with Croatia.

Košarac pointed out that the role of the BiH Presidency was to practice foreign policy and develop good regional relations with all countries, including Serbia and Croatia.

"It is important to remain committed to constitutional capacity and regional cooperation and to be affirmed, which Republika Srpska and its representatives did, while others are acting as opportunists for the development of good infrastructure projects and good cooperation. I believe this is bad both for Komšić and for Džaferović", says Košarac.

He estimated that Dodik, as a Serb member of the Presidency, used the Constitution-guaranteed right and demanded the opinion of the Republika Srpska National Assembly.

"This is one of the key models to be used every time the Serb member of the BiH Presidency is outvoted, as I expect the practice of outvoting will continue, given the highly synchronised policies of Komšić and Džaferović," Košarac noted.

The BiH Presidency adopted at yesterday's session with two votes in favor and one against the conclusion on the official position of BiH regarding the continuation of the construction of the Komarna-Pelješac Bridge. Komšić and Džaferović voted for the conclusion, while Dodik voted against.

Dodik announced the initiation of a vital entity interest issue in accordance with the deadlines prescribed by the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the Presidency of BiH.

A special session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly will be held in Banjaluka on Wednesday, where MPs will vote on confirming Dodik's statement that the conclusion on BiH’s official position regarding the continuation of the Komarna-Pelješac Bridge construction is very detrimental for Srpska’s vital interests. /end/vos
