PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BiH WORKING ON CASE OF THREATS TO DODIK

SARAJEVO, August 21 /SRNA/ - The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is working on the case of death threats directed at Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik which were published in a comments section of the BN TV internet portal, higher expert associate on public relations in this judicial institution Adisa Karačić told SRNA on Wednesday.

“The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was notified by the State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina /SIPA/ about death threats against Dodik published in a comments section of the BN TV internet portal. Work on the case is in progress, and we cannot provide more information or details,” Karačić said.

On August 19, SIPA told SRNA that the Agency undertook measures to determine all facts in connection with death threats to Dodik, after which it informed the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

SIPA says that on July 30 they were notified by the Republika Srpska Internal Affairs Ministry about an article published on the BN TV internet portal and a comment containing death threats directed at Dodik by a person under the nickname Romanija.

After comments containing death threats to Dodik appeared on the BN TV internet portal on July 23, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately undertook necessary measures and informed SIPA, which is directly in charge of this case.

A threatening comment appeared under an article on this internet portal, which was later removed by the website’s moderators.

Among other comments, there was a comment written by a person nicknamed Romanija reading as follows: “Vukan, hat off to you. May God give you health and long life! There are few so honest people as you. And when it comes to Dodik, only a bullet can remove him from the helm of Republika Srpska and away from the suffering people. I pray to God that someone shoot him to death and set the people free from the shackles and chains. It seems that there is no other way.”

The comment was removed from the BN TV internet portal only after articles about death threats to Dodik were published. /end/sg
