BANJALUKA, August 21 /SRNA/ - Srđan Rajčević, the Republika Srpska Minister of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society, told SRNA Wednesday that new legal regulations will be soon found in parliamentary procedure, which will define the possibilities of issuing work termination measures to higher education institutions involved in issuing fake diploma certificates.

"I may announce that such items will be a part of new legal regulations, namely in the law on higher education and the law on quality assurance in higher education," Rajčević said.

Rajčević emphasizes that he expects the support of the entire society in Srpska for such legal regulations.

He stresses he supports Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, who said he would advocate closing down the faculties that issue fake diploma certificates.

Rajčević emphasized his support to such an initiative to allow the Ministry, i.e. the Government of Srpska, under the legal regulations to act administratively, and to issue a work termination measure according to second-instance decision to a higher education institution that consciously participates in the issuance of so-called fake diplomas, i.e. "to the higher education institution whose employees engage in irregular and illegal activities that will result in the issuance of a higher education certificate. "

He added that such a possibility was foreseen in the higher education reform in Srpska.

Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said in Sarajevo Tuesday that the validity of the diploma held by the director of the BiH Intelligence and Security Agency, Osman Mehmedagi ć Osmica, is a matter for the competent institutions to deal with it, but that he would personally advocate that the law provides for the closure of faculties issuing fake diplomas. /end/vos
