BANJALUKA, MAY 22 /SRNA/ - A proposed decision amending the decision on long-term borrowing stipulates that Republika Srpska can borrow maximum up to BAM 678 million this year, said Finance Minister Zora Vidović. The National Assembly of Republika Srpska reviewed a proposed revised budget for this year totaling BAM 3.613 billion, by BAM 188 million more than the original budget. A proposed bill amending and supplementing the law on execution of the Republika Srpska Budget for this year stipulates the way of execution of the revised Budget totaling BAM 3.613 billion, said Finance Minister Zora Vidović. Deputy Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Željka Stojičić has said that the proposed revised budget for this year is the result of the crisis caused by the coronavirus, but that it will contribute to spending the money in a legal way and will help repair damage caused to the economy. SDS MP Zoran Vidić says it is not good for Republika Srpska to borrow money from foreign creditors in order to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
