SRPSKA PARLIAMENT SHOULD REJECT DISPUTED RESOLUTION

LAKTAŠI, MAY 31 /SRNA/ - SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik expects the controversial Resolution on Respecting the Victims of Fascist Regime and Movement, which was supported by the SDS and PDP representatives and adopted by the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, to be rejected at the upcoming special session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly.

Dodik points out that by rejecting it in the Parliament, the disputed Resolution will not be valid, nor will it have support in Srpska.

He recalls that the Assembly was scheduled with the aim of strengthening the resolution regarding the Jasenovac genocide and the genocide against Serbs, previously adopted by the Srpska Parliament.

"Such a definition, which we made four or five years ago, is not in that controversial Resolution passed at the BiH level. This Resolution desecrates the position and belittles the suffering of Serbs, favours the suffering of others, thus equating those who were on the side of criminals, with Serbs," noted Dodik, who is also a Serb member of the BiH Presidency.

He expresses regret that "some accepted to be part of the majority during the adoption of the disputed Resolution".

"As for Bleiburg, that was the legitimate goal of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia, those who committed crimes against Serbs were killed, and we believe that it was a well-deserved punishment," Dodik said. /end/vos
