BANJALUKA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - Presidents of Republika Srpska Željka Cvijanović and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to BiH, Ivana Hlavsova, spoke today in Banjaluka about BiH’s European path, challenges facing countries in the European integration process, and experiences of the Czech Republic as an EU member state.

BANJALUKA, JULY 17 /SRNA/ - The Council for Protection of Vital National Interests of the Republika Srpska Constitutional Court declared unacceptable a motion filed by the Bosniak Caucus to determine the existence of the vital national interest regarding a decision of National Assembly Republika Srpska to reject the Resolution on Respect for Victims of Fascist Regimes and Movements, which was adopted by the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly in May.

SREBRENICA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - Members of the Eastern Alternative Association of Republika Srpska and a group of citizens, under strong security measures, paid their respects to Serbs killed in Srebrenica prison camps and laid flowers near the buildings of the former police station and the Srebrenica Municipal Court.

TREBINJE, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - A memorial service was held in the Church of Holy Tsar Lazar, a parade was held, candles were lit, flowers were laid and the Memorial Room was toured on the 28th anniversary of the Trebinje Brigade. The ceremony was solemn but modest due to the pandemic.

BANJALUKA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - President of the Republika Srpska Organization of Families of Captured and Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians Veljko Lazić says that the idea of the PDP candidate for mayor of Banjaluka, Draško Stanivuković, to build a peace park with a monument to three soldiers – of the so-called Army of BiH, the HVO and Army of Republika Srpska, is an insult to Serb victims of war.

BIJELJINA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - The Association of Veterans “Garda Panteri” asked a Member of Parliament Draško Stanivuković to publicly apologize to demobilized soldiers of Army of Republika Srpska and families of the killed for his statement about the so-called monument to peace in Banjaluka.

BANJALUKA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - President of the Association of Veterans of Republika Srpska Duško Vukotić sent a message to the PDP candidate for mayor of Banjaluka, Draško Stanivuković, who, he says, has enough money to build the so-called “peace park” in his house and place busts of whoever he wants, but that he will not do it in Banjaluka for sure.

BANJALUKA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - Chairman of the presidency of the Republika Srpska Veterans’ Organization Goran Rogić has said that a statement from the PDP candidate for Banjaluka mayor, Draško Stanivuković, who said that a “peace park” with a monument to three soldiers – of the so-called Army of BiH, the HVO and Army of Republika Srpska, should be built, is shameful, scandalous and utterly hypocritical.

BANJALUKA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - The Republika Srpska`s communal police checked 827 persons who were ordered to self-isolate and determined that all persons abided by the measure.

EAST SARAJEVO, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - The Jahorina Tourism Organization presented today in East Sarajevo an android application called “Feel Jahorina” which gives all users, that is, tourists, information about Jahorina, but also about all other tourist destinations in the City of East Sarajevo.

SARAJEVO, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - Chairman of the Committee for Roma at the Council of Ministers Dervo Sejdić informed today Minister of Human Rights and Refugees Miloš Lučić about current problems facing the Roma population in BiH, says a press release from the Ministry.

SARAJEVO, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - Archbishop Vrhbosanski Cardinal Vinko Puljić said today that last year’s statistics about number of members of Bishopric communities in BiH are sad as the number of faithful has been constantly falling.

BELGRADE, JULY 13 /SRNA/ - Miroljub Jevtić, a professor at the Belgrade Faculty of Political Science, has told Srna that the decision of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to again turn Hagia Sophia into a mosque is a move "by a consistent Muslim, with an idea of re-Islamisation,” as the idea of Islam is that no other religious communities should exist.
