MARCH 1 IS NOT AND CANNOT BE NATIONAL HOLIDAY IN SRPSKA

BANJALUKA, FEBRUARY 27 /SRNA/ - Serb member and chairman of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, says that Republika Srpska will not celebrate March 1, which cannot and will not be a national holiday in Srpska.

"The Serb people should see what the Constitutional Court is like. It only decides in favour of Sarajevo and Bosniaks, nothing in favour or respecting Serbs’ positions. It is worse than 500 years under Turkey’s domination," Dodik told the press in Banjaluka.

He says that the Constitutional Court of BiH can make a decision on it as many times as it wants, but it will not implement it. "Let them send prosecutors to me," Dodik said.

On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the first Srpska Constitution, Dodik says that it is illegally amended by the High Representative and that it must adapt to the constitution drafted in Dayton, believing there are elements for such a thing.

"It was amended by the illegal, unconstitutional, criminal intervention of the High Representative /Wolfgang/ Petrich, the man who caused a lot of problems and evil here," Dodik noted.

He adds the SNSD, of which he is the leader, has formed an act titled a new solution for the new constitution that is looking for a way to pass it fully legitimately.

Dodik states the idea is to go before the National Assembly and adopt it in the form of a proposal for a referendum question: "Do you support the Constitution of Republika Srpska", and to declare the referendum mandatory in order to avoid other procedures.

When the people support the Constitution, says Dodik, it would only be proclaimed in the National Assembly, which would be the final act, but we are still studying it.
