MIA KEEPS ILLEGAL MIGRATION UNDER CONTROL

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 16 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan and the Head of the International Organization for Migration /IOM/ in BiH Laura Lungarotti stated today in Banja Luka that Republika Srpska has the situation regarding illegal migration under control.

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 16 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan and the Head of the International Organization for Migration /IOM/ in BiH Laura Lungarotti stated today in Banja Luka that Republika Srpska has the situation regarding illegal migration under control.



Karan, who received a farewell visit from Lungaroti, stated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MIA/ of Republika Srpska will continue to protect the security of its citizens, the Ministry said. "The Ministry will continue to protect the security of its citizens and act in accordance with the policy of the Republika Srpska Government regarding illegal migration, not only from a security standpoint, but also politically, humanitarianly, and culturally," Karan stated, adding that actions are taken in line with the Republika Srpska Government's 2018 decision. Karan and Lungarotti, who is also the regional coordinator for the Balkans, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and the International Organization for Migration in BiH. Karan wished Langarotti success in her new position and expressed hope that the successful cooperation would continue.
