DODIK’S MESSAGE TO BEĆIROVIĆ: DON'T MEDDLE IN OUR HOMES, CELEBRATIONS, AND GATHERINGS, AND ENJOY YOUR 20 PERCENT OF THE TERRITORY

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 10 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik told SRNA that the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, refuses to come to terms with the fact that he can only speak on behalf of the Bosniaks, and that every statement of his, such as the one about the Pan-Serbian Assembly, represents only his personal opinion for domestic use, on about 20 percent of the territory.

When asked by SRNA to comment on Bećirović's statement that the Declaration, adopted at the Pan-Serbian Assembly on June 8 in Belgrade, "threatens international law" and, as he says, revives the project of Greater Serbia, President Dodik has said that Denis Bećirović, as a Bosniak Muslim, has no connection to the Pan-Serbian Assembly, nor does the Assembly have any connection to the people he represents in the BiH Presidency. “For international political communication, regarding Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s address, he should first obtain the position of the BiH Presidency, and then speak on behalf of BiH,” Dodik said. Regarding Bećirović's statement that 'no president would ever think of organizing a 'Pan-French Assembly' and that, as he says, Vučić works in favor of Russia, the President of Srpska pointed out that instilling fear of Russia and Russians has become a mantra of Muslim politicians, who think that such rhetoric will earn them some sympathy from the West. “The narrative about Greater Serbian projects is part of the rhetoric of the 1990s, and based on this hollow narrative, Muslims presented themselves as victims of that project during the civil war in BiH,” Dodik said. He emphasized that he sees Bećirović's reaction as the need to control everything - Republika Srpska, Serbs, and relations between Serbs. “That won't fly. He can enjoy in those 20 percent, and we won't interfere there. I'm telling him not to meddle in our house anymore, nor to count our household members and relatives. He should stay out of our celebrations and gatherings,” Dodik said. Regarding the Dayton Agreement, the President of Srpska says that it has become tiresome to defend it from those who constantly talk about the Constitution but violate it on a daily basis.
