KLOKIĆ: STRENGTHEN TIES WITH SERBIAN DIASPORA AND SERBIAN HARMONY

BELGRADE, AUGUST 31 /SRNA/ - The Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska Zlatan Klokić, who is attending the "Unity and Strength - Serbia" meeting in Belgrade, said that this is another opportunity to manifest the strength and unity of the Serbian people and to further strengthen the ties of Serbia and Srpska with the Serbian diaspora.

"Today we are here to talk, to see what the institutions of Serbia and Republika Srpska need to do in order to improve the connection between our people abroad and the motherland of Serbia and Srpska. It is also an opportunity to discuss a very significant event that will take place in Serbia 'Expo 2027' and let's see how people in broadcasting see this event," Klokić told reporters in Belgrade. According to him, the gathering will discuss what is needed to preserve the national identity, first of all the Serbian language and alphabet, and what the institutions should do additionally in this regard. Klokić said that Republika Srpska does not have a register of its people in dispersion, although there was an intention to do so, but that they certainly represent significant potential and can contribute to the development of Srpska. "We need to hear what they see as an obstacle in our institutions, both at the local and national level, and what we need to change in order to further improve our business environment," Klokić stated. He said that certain local communities in Srpska, including Prnjavor, have a significant diaspora that returns and invests back where they used to live. "They have not forgotten the places where they were born, and it is up to us to enable them to invest in Republika Srpska without any obstacles," said Klokić. Speaking about the relations between Republika Srpska and Serbia, Klokić pointed out that they have never been better and more specific, and that this is so thanks to the presidents of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Aleksandar Vučić and Milorad Dodik. The event under the slogan "Unity and strength - Serbia" will be held today and tomorrow in Belgrade, and representatives of Serbs from the countries of the region are expected, as well as 250 associations and organizations that gather the Serbian diaspora around the world.
