4,000 EUROS RAISED FOR CHILDREN OF THE DAYCARE CENTER IN KOSOVSKA MITROVICA

STUTTGART, APRIL 18 /SRNA/ - In a humanitarian campaign carried out in Stuttgart under the slogan "Every Serb – One Euro," a total of 4,000 Euros was raised to support the Daycare Center Support Me – January 9 in Kosovska Mitrovica, Vera Sajić, the Consul General of BiH in Stuttgart, told SRNA.

The campaign, initiated by Sajić, saw participation from many citizens and three Serbian associations in Germany. Bogdana Brezovac, president of the German branch of Prosvjeta based in Stuttgart, said that 1,420 Euros was raised and that the money will be transferred to the January 9 Daycare Center on Holy Saturday. The Bratstvo Association from Waiblingen raised 1,400 Euros and sent the money to Kosovska Mitrovica seven days ago. The Šumadija Association from Heilbronn raised around 1,000 Euros, and their campaign is ongoing. Sajić said that one member of that association will personally deliver the money to the beneficiaries of the daycare center in Kosovska Mitrovica. Sajić expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in the campaign and noted that this is a significant amount for the children at the center, most of whom are affected by autism. "Thank you to the associations and kind-hearted people, no matter how much each person donated, because our little can mean a lot to someone. We know that this money will be of great help to the January 9 Center, and I am certain that every one of us donated from the heart. As long as there are compassionate people around the world, we as a nation will survive," she emphasized. She emphasized that during these holidays, we should give and spread joy, and above all, we should take care of the sick, especially children. "This is also another way for people to come together and work for the benefit of their community and those in need," she added. She expressed her gratitude to the president of the Committee for Assistance to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija Milorad Arlov for everything he does for Serbs by organizing many humanitarian and noble campaigns and providing help and selfless support to the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. She noted that the beneficiaries of the Center, which is intended for children and young people with developmental difficulties, include around 200 children of Serbian, Bosniak, Roma, and Albanian origin. The campaign, in which Sajić also participated with a donation, was launched a month ago and will last until Easter.
