LEADERS WHO HONOR VALUE SYSTEM THAT LIBERATED EUROPE ARE ATTENDING VICTORY DAY COMMEMORATION

BANJA LUKA, MAY 8 /SRNA/ - International relations expert Luciano Kaluža told SRNA that the significance of world leaders gathering in Moscow lies in the consistent respect for the value system that liberated Europe in World War II, a system that the "new" Europe and its officials have lost and deliberately altered.
Kaluža emphasized that, in political terms, it is becoming clear that the victors of World War II, such as global powers like China and Russia, and many others, including Serbia and Republika Srpska, are on the right side of history. "Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik stands among the world's top leaders who, by marking May 9, are honoring the value system rooted in the fight against Nazism and fascism. The anti-fascist idea remains alive in the part of Europe that preserves this kind of tradition, and those countries continue to cooperate politically and economically," Kaluža emphasized. He says that it is important to respect the values, history, and traditions deeply embedded in the European identity, and to demonstrate that this value system is the only correct one when compared to the new neoliberal one being imposed. Commenting on earlier statements by certain European officials and their calls to avoid attending the Victory Day commemoration in Moscow, Kaluža said such positions should be disregarded. "They have the right to express a political opinion, but that opinion carries little political weight when compared to the leaders of an earlier era, figures like Charles de Gaulle or Konrad Adenauer, who embodied the idea of Europe in some different time," Kaluža said. He reiterated that the value system upheld by Serbia and Republika Srpska, led by Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Milorad Dodik, must be preserved, as it is the only correct one. "Europe was liberated by anti-fascism, by the anti-fascist idea and the countries that carried that idea forward. The officials of the `new` Europe now seek to ignore that fact by promoting a different value system, one based on entirely different rules and principles. By neglecting history, they are changing, for their own personal reasons, the very principles on which Europe was founded," Kaluža emphasized.
