CVIJANOVIĆ: GREAT VICTORIES DESERVE LASTING REMEMBRANCE, SERBS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY

MOSCOW, MAY 9 /SRNA/ - The Serbian member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, emphasized that, thanks to the heroic anti-fascist struggle of the Serbian people, Serbs once again stand proud, dignified, and with heads held high on this May 9, Victory Day.

“I am immensely proud that we are marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism together with representatives of other freedom-loving nations here in Moscow, in Russia, which made a key contribution to this great triumph over the evil that threatened to destroy humanity,” Cvijanović wrote on Instagram. She emphasized that the Serbian people fought bravely and uncompromisingly for freedom and against the ideologies of evil, unmistakably choosing the right side of history. In that struggle, Cvijanović says, the Serbs made enormous sacrifices, permanently inscribing their name among the nations of the victors in the Second World War. "Great victories deserve lasting remembrance!" Cvijanović said.
