INSTEAD OF RESPECTING DEMOCRATIC WILL, FRANCE AND GERMANY INTERFERE IN INTERNAL AFFAIRS

EAST SARAJEVO, MAY 23 /SRNA/ – Sanja Vulić, head of the SNSD parliamentary group in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, told SRNA that instead of acknowledging reality and respecting the democratic will of the people, two key European actors—France and Germany—are insisting on interfering in internal matters and exerting unacceptable pressure on any democratic community.
According to Vulić, if Germany and France genuinely wish to contribute to BiH's stability, they must understand that Republika Srpska is not undermining the constitutional order but is defending its institutions, constitutional competencies, and its legitimately elected president. "The imposed High Representative, Christian Schmidt, who lacks legitimacy and UN Security Council confirmation, acts through arbitrary and unconstitutional decisions more like a political executioner than a neutral international mediator," said Vulić. She expressed concern that Germany and France are supporting opposition structures that do not represent the will of the people, lack the capacity to manage complex political processes, and build their politics on internal destabilization. Such an approach, she added, does not advance BiH’s European integration path—it only makes it more difficult. "Despite numerous provocations, representatives of SNSD and HDZ—two strongest legitimate political parties of the constituent peoples—have proposed and adopted all laws in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH that are aligned with the EU path and the interests of all peoples in BiH," Vulić reminded. She stressed that Republika Srpska remains committed to the European path, but not at the cost of trampling on its rights, institutions, and the electoral will of its people. Vulić also strongly condemned and rejected the claims made in the non-paper allegedly sent by Germany and France to EU institutions, which calls for the isolation of Republika Srpska under the pretext of allegedly undermining BiH's constitutional order. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić yesterday informed members of the National Security Council about the non-paper prepared by France and Germany regarding BiH, which also pertains to Republika Srpska. Večernje Novosti reported that the document outlines a planned aggressive campaign by Western powers and Brussels against top Republika Srpska leaders - President Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister Radovan Višković, and National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić - with the goal of removing them from power, under the pretext that they are allegedly obstructing BiH's NATO and EU path and contributing to the disintegration of the country.
