DETENTION ORDER FOR REPUBLIKA SRPSKA PRESIDENT LIFTED, ARREST WARRANT NO LONGER IN EFFECT

SARAJEVO, JULY 4 /SRNA/ - The Court of BiH today issued a decision accepting the motion of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to lift the detention order for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, thereby rendering the arrest warrant previously issued by the court against him no longer valid.
The detention order was lifted because it was determined that the reasons for which it was initially imposed no longer exist, the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH announced. Earlier, the Court of BiH had ordered a one-month detention for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik on the grounds of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of “attack on the constitutional order.”
