MAZALICA: BiH HAS NO POWER UNLESS SRPSKA ENABLES IT

BANJA LUKA, JULY 9 /SRNA/ - The Head of the SNSD Caucus Srđan Mazalica said that by appearing before the Court of BiH, key officials of Republika Srpska - Milorad Dodik, Radovan Višković and Nenad Stevandić - demonstrated that BiH has no power unless Republika Srpska enables it.
"They showed that BiH cannot move forward without those elected by Srpska," Mazalica said, following the Court of BiH's decision today to revoke the detention orders against Stevandić and Višković, as it had previously done for Dodik. Speaking at a session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Srđan Mazalica told opposition members that their hopes of becoming a political factor were in vain, and that they would not be able to form power at the BiH level with certain representatives from political Sarajevo and the help of the unelected Christian Schmidt. "This is now a situation in which no one needs you anymore, and it has become clear that Dodik is the one who should negotiate on behalf of Republika Srpska. Everyone understands that. They understand that it cannot be done without him," Mazalica emphasized during the assembly debate on the 2023 Annual Report on Operations of the Public Broadcaster RTRS and the audit report on the company's financial operations. He said that it is now becoming evident that Republika Srpska, through its earlier and proper legislative and political actions, managed to protect its institutions and officials from judicial and other types of persecution, and preserved its property. The Court of BiH today issued a decision to revoke the detention orders against the Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, and Republika Srpska Prime Minister, Radovan Višković, sources confirmed to SRNA. The detention order against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik was revoked on July 4 after it was determined that there were no longer grounds for the earlier measures. The Court of BiH had previously ordered a one-month detention for Dodik, Stevandić, and Višković on reasonable suspicion that they had committed, as stated by the court, the criminal offense of "attacking the constitutional order."
