TRIBUTE PAID TO SERBS KILLED IN SREBRENICA CAMPS

SREBRENICA, JULY 13 /SRNA/ – A delegation of the “Eastern Alternative” Association of Republika Srpska today paid tribute to the Serbs killed in Srebrenica camps, where during the past war more than 130 Serb civilians and captured soldiers were tortured, few survived, and 70 are still listed as missing.
The President of "Eastern Alternative" Vojin Pavlović, told SRNA that Bosniak documents show that many Serbs were tortured and brutally killed in the former police building. Pavlović emphasized that there were several camps for Serbs in Srebrenica, and that captured Serbs from Kravica, Skelani, Zalazje were taken to the former police station and the building of the Court of General Jurisdiction, which also housed the Prosecutor’s Office, and that many disappeared without a trace after torture. "Here, Serbs were systematically killed, and everything Serbian was destroyed throughout the war. Crimes were committed by all warring parties in BiH, but no one has been held accountable for the mass crimes against Serbs from Podrinje, while for crimes against Bosniaks everyone has been prosecuted, and there is still pressure to label us as a genocidal people, which we will never accept because genocide was committed against Serbs in Podrinje continuously in three wars in the 20th century," said Pavlović. According to him, there was a camp for Serbs in the court building, which now houses the offices of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, and it is absurd that this Prosecutor’s Office has not initiated a single case against the perpetrators of crimes against Serbs committed in this building. "This shows how the Hague tribunal operated and how the BiH judiciary works, confirming their bias and lack of objectivity, as well as the legal torture they impose on members of the Serb people," added Pavlović. He called the court building a "court of injustice" because the BiH Prosecutor’s Office located there has not indicted anyone for around 2,000 murdered Serb civilians in the central Podrinje region, assessing that the Prosecutor’s Office is the main disruptive factor, causing mistrust, injustice, and animosity in BiH. Pavlović also mentioned the former "pilićarnik" camp in Potočari where 70 Serbs were tortured. "That facility is near the house of Naser Orić, who commanded and personally committed many crimes, but shamefully has not been convicted by the judiciary," Pavlović emphasized. According to Pavlović, it is absurd that courts want to write history instead of scholars and historians, and that they aim to turn tendentious political verdicts and untruths into historical facts, which is unacceptable. He stressed that Serbs in Srebrenica camps were tortured, slaughtered, impaled on spits, shoed like horses, and died in extreme agony. Their names are known, and it is the obligation of their descendants, the Serb people, and the authorities to mark these places, because this is the truth that must be told and passed on, and must not be hidden or forgotten so it does not happen again to future generations. Pavlović stated that the best assessment of the events in and around Srebrenica in July 1995 was given by Dutch UNPROFOR Colonel Thomas Karremans as an eyewitness, who wrote that the Serbs brilliantly liberated Srebrenica, and such assessments were also given by other representatives of the international community who were in BiH and Srebrenica during the war, including Philippe Morillon.
