DESPERATE MOVES BY POLITICAL ENFORCER

SARAJEVO, JULY 17 /SRNA/ - The Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić stated that the decisions Christian Schmidt is making are the acts of a desperate man, and that he is acting as a political enforcer.
"His attempt to `discipline` Republika Srpska not through dialogue, but through financial blackmail and coercive decisions, shows that he is willing to resort to any means to weaken the autonomy of one of the two equal entities that are signatories to the peace agreement," Vulić told SRNA. She emphasized that the decisions regarding the debt to the Slovenian company Vijadukt, which Schmidt is attempting to collect by seizing funds from Republika Srpska, and the financing of elections outside the will of legitimate institutions, represent a continuation of the policy of dismantling the Dayton Peace Agreement and a direct attack on the constitutional order of BiH. Recalling that Schmidt had asked the EU to suspend funding to Republika Srpska, Vulić pointed out that this reveals the deeply biased and politically motivated role he has assigned to himself. Vulić emphasized that Schmidt is persistently working to dismantle the Dayton Agreement, systematically and deliberately. "His ties with domestic politicians, particularly with /Elmedin/ Konaković and political circles that impose themselves without the will of the constituent peoples, are becoming increasingly evident. He is sad, angry, and frustrated as the noose tightens around his favorite, Konaković. Who knows, perhaps those suspicious trails also lead to the tourist Schmidt," Vulić said. According to her, Schmidt's policy is not one of stability, but of coercion. "A shared life cannot be built through force against one entity. Peace cannot be achieved by suppressing the will of an entire people," Vulić stated. She asserted that Republika Srpska is not a project or a temporary need, but a reality established by the Dayton Agreement. "No matter how much Schmidt tries to weaken it, cut it off from financial flows, or portray it as a destructive force, the stronger the people's will becomes to defend their position, identity, and rights. Srpska will live," Vulić added.
