INCREASE IN NUMBER OF STUDENTS CONFIRMS THAT SRPSKA CARES ABOUT ITS YOUTH

BANJA LUKA, JULY 31 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik told SRNA that the increase in enrollment quotas for first and second cycle studies at public higher education institutions once again confirms that Republika Srpska is taking care of young people who have chosen to continue their education in Srpska.

“We want to keep our children here, support them, and give them opportunities. I hope that all candidates who achieved success in their previous education and passed the entrance exam will continue their studies in Republika Srpska, and that the Government’s decision will be applied to all study programmes at public higher education institutions in Srpska,” emphasized the president. The Government of Republika Srpska approved an increase in enrollment quotas for the first and second cycle studies at public higher education institutions for the 2025/26 academic year from 4,765 to 5,321 students due to higher interest in certain study programmes. According to the Government’s Public Relations Bureau, the amended decision on the number of students enrolling in the first year of study does not increase the number of state-funded slots; the changes apply to self-financed students, foreign nationals, and part-time studies.
