STANIŠIĆ: BiH ONE STEP CLOSER TO COLLAPSE BY CONFIRMING THE FIRST-INSTANCE VERDICT AGAINST SRPSKA PRESIDENT

PALE, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ – The confirmation of the verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik is just one more step toward the abyss and the end for BiH, said MP Aco Stanišić.

PALE, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ – The confirmation of the verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik is just one more step toward the abyss and the end for BiH, said MP Aco Stanišić.

"To be fair, none of us ever expected anything good to come out of the political kitchen of official Sarajevo and Christian Schmidt, who are the main authors of these decisions. But as they say - hope dies last, so we still hoped that common sense might prevail. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and we are now witnessing a blend of legal violence and legal circus - not just against one man, but against Republika Srpska, because this trial is directed at the institution of its president, who through his actions only defended the rights and competences of Srpska as granted by the Dayton Peace Agreement," Stanišić told SRNA. He pointed out that the Dayton Accords, something many in the international community and official Sarajevo seem to have forgotten, granted those rights, despite their unhealthy desire and ambition to "abolish" Republika Srpska. "Today they are celebrating, thinking this act brings them one step closer to that goal. In reality, they are just one step closer, dangerously close, to extinguishing BiH itself," Stanišić concluded.
