IT IS OBVIOUS THAT COURT OF BiH HAS SUCCUMBED TO POLITICAL PRESSURE

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today, referring to the allegations from the verdict handed down to him, that it is obvious that the Court of BiH succumbed to political pressure and passed the verdict in violation of the laws and the Constitution of BiH.

"As stated in the verdict: `Even though the defense appeal tries to reduce the question of the High Representative in BiH to a question of fact, thereby paving the way for many, for the defense, to dispute questions about his legitimate existence and appointment, this Chamber assesses that it is an exclusively legal question, considering that the function in question represents a notorious part of the state and legal system of the state of BiH, i.e. its constitutional order,`" said Dodik. Among other things, he asked how it is possible for the Court of BiH to treat the High Representative as part of the BiH legal system if the Constitution of BiH states that only parliaments can pass laws. "This is a violation of the Constitution of BiH, and it is clear from the previous period that even the more serious high representatives did not deal with changing the Constitution of BiH. It is obvious that the Court of BiH succumbed to political pressure and passed a verdict in violation of the laws and the Constitution of BiH," Dodik wrote on X. The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH upheld the earlier first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, by which he was sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity, "for disobeying Christian Schmidt's decisions".
