SUPPORT FOR LEGALLY AND LEGITIMATELY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 23 /SRNA/ - The business community in Republika Srpska expressed support for the legally and legitimately elected President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who was convicted and had his mandate revoked through an unlawful process based on legal deviations imposed by the illegal High Representative Christian Schmidt, it was said today at a meeting between the outgoing Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship, Vojin Mitrović, and representatives of the business community.

"Taking into account the interests of the business community and the economy as a whole, namely, the progress and economic stability of Republika Srpska, we are obliged to clearly state that we support the legally and legitimately elected President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik," it was said at the meeting. The business community called on “every political actor to act responsibly and, when creating legal deviations, to consider the consequences for the economy that sustains this country, and to bear the responsibility for any damage caused,” the line ministry said in a statement. "A stable economy is the guarantee of a good life anywhere on the planet. Republika Srpska is our home," the statement from the meeting emphasized. The meeting was attended by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Goran Račić; the presidents of the regional chambers of commerce in Doboj, Bijeljina, Banja Luka, and East Sarajevo - Radovan Pazurević, Branimir Andrić, Stanislav Čađo, and Goran Ašonja; as well as the president of the Crafts and Entrepreneurship Chamber of Republika Srpska, Lazo Šešić. The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted on Friday evening a decision to hold a referendum regarding the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH to terminate the mandate of President Dodik, setting the referendum date for October 25. The referendum question reads: "Do you accept the decisions of the unelected foreigner, Christian Schmidt, and the verdicts of the unconstitutional Court of BiH against the President of Republika Srpska, as well as the decision of the CEC to terminate the mandate of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik?"
