PETROVIĆ: NOT TRUE THAT MATERIALS WERE NOT DELIVERED ON TIME

EAST SARAJEVO, AUGUST 25 /SRNA/ – Chief of Staff of the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Dušan Petrović, emphasized that all necessary materials were delivered on time and that there were no formal obstacles preventing the nomination of U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize from being included on the agenda of the Presidency session.

Petrović has stated that it is absolutely false that the Serb member of the Presidency did not provide the necessary materials regarding the initiative to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. “The excuse by /Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić/ that the year of the nomination was not specified is absurd and ridiculous, considering that other countries’ nominations did not include such details either. Since the materials were delivered on time, they had ample opportunity to point out any deficiencies or propose amendments before the session itself, but they did not; instead, they chose not to allow it to appear on the agenda at all,” Petrović stressed. He pointed out that the essence is that the members of the Presidency from the Federation of BiH are not allowed to express an opinion on this matter, and now they are hysterically justifying themselves for preventing it from being placed on the agenda. He highlighted that, with this, Sarajevo once again demonstrated its inability to recognize many global processes, as well as the importance of achieving peace in Europe and the world. “In any case, by order of the Serb member of the Presidency, immediately after the session we submitted a request to discuss this at a regular or extraordinary session, so we consider this initiative active and ongoing,” Petrović announced.
