ĐERIĆ: INITIATIVE SUBMITTED IN A TIMELY MANNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCEDURES, THERE WERE NO FORMAL OBSTACLES

EAST SARAJEVO, AUGUST 25 /SRNA/ - Secretary General of the Presidency of BiH Zoran Đerić stated that the agenda item concerning the initiative of the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, to nominate U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, was submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with procedures.

Responding to the question by SRNA to comment on the claims of two Presidency members, Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić, that Cvijanović did not deliver the proper material, Đerić said that this was not true, and that there were no formal obstacles for it to be included in the Presidency session. “Of course, whether something will be placed on the agenda or not is a matter of political decision by the members of the Presidency, and that depends solely on them, with at least two votes required,” Đerić explained.
