VUČIĆ AND LAVROV DISCUSS REGIONAL SITUATION AND BiH

BELGRADE, AUGUST 26 /SRNA/ - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that in a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, he discussed the political situation in the region, including BiH, and the externally provoked crisis marked by ongoing attacks on Republika Srpska.

"We reviewed the situation, primarily political, in the region and in BiH, a crisis that has been externally induced, with constant attacks on Republika Srpska," Vučić stated on Instagram. He added that he also briefed Lavrov on the internal situation in Serbia, especially regarding the developments in Kosovo and Metohija and the continuous attempts to drive out the Serbian population from their centuries-old homes, about which most of the international community remains silent. "In a long and cordial conversation, we also reviewed bilateral relations, agreed on further advancement of economic cooperation, participation in joint projects, and at the same time analyzed political ties with the aim of enhancing communication and cooperation in various forums, organizations, and institutions at the international level," Vučić emphasized. The two officials agreed to continue cooperation and further strengthen relations between the two states in multiple areas.
