MEMORANDUM ON COOPERATION SIGNED, JOINT GOAL TO DOCUMENT TRUTH

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – Representatives of the Memorial Center of Republika Srpska and the Organization of Senior Officers of the Republika Srpska Army /RSA/ signed a Memorandum of Cooperation envisaging the documentation of the truth about events from the Defensive-Patriotic War and World War II, which will serve as a bulwark against historical revisionism.

"This involves recording all available testimonies about the suffering of the Serbian people," Director of the Memorial Center Denis Bojić told reporters after today's signing in Banja Luka. He emphasized that all these testimonies will be translated into several foreign languages and that efforts will be made to present the suffering of the Serbian people not only in the region, but worldwide. Bojić said that this testimony database will not only be educational but will also serve as a bulwark against historical revisionism, factually demonstrating the truth about the suffering of the Serbian people. The President of the Organization of Senior Officers of the RSA Slobodan Župljanin told reporters that surviving family members should testify in order to convey the truth about the suffering to future generations. He said that testimonies are necessary not to spread or deepen hatred toward anyone, but to develop a culture of remembrance and to influence efforts so that such events never happen again.
