CVIJANOVIĆ: PEOPLE’S WILL SHOULD DEMONTRATE SRPSKA’S STRENGTH AND DEMOCRATIC CAPACITY
BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – SNSD Deputy Leader Željka Cvijanović believes that the candidate elected in the early presidential election should promote the stability of Republika Srpska and continue its institutional strengthening.
"This is a special moment that deserves the observations we have previously discussed, as well as the circumstances that led to everything we are dealing with today. But all of that today must not and cannot stop what represents the people’s voice," Cvijanović said. She emphasized that the voice of the people must be strong and well-founded. "It must send a powerful message about what Republika Srpska is," Cvijanović stated after voting at a polling station in the Paprikovac neighborhood of Banja Luka. She added that the f Republika Srpska citizens should come out to vote and, through the strength of the people’s will, demonstrate that no manipulations are needed, possible, or allowed when it comes to the strength of the republic’s institutions and the democratic capacity of Srpska. "These elections confirm the people’s will, but also showing the guidelines for our future work," Cvijanović said. She also pointed out that the people’s will must send a strong message that Republika Srpska was not created to exist temporarily, but to endure. "For it to endure, there must be the strength of the people, the people’s will, and institutions that will always be capable of responding to the citizens while defending that people’s will," Cvijanović concluded. Snap presidential elections were held today in Republika Srpska, where 1,264,364 voters were eligible to vote.
