KARAN: SERB PEOPLE CHOSE PEACE, STABILITY AND REJECTED FOREIGN INTERFERENCE
BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – Siniša Karan, the SNSD candidate for President of Republika Srpska whose victory the party proclaimed this evening, said that the Serb people voted for peace and stability, giving the institutions of Srpska the strength to confront those who wish to harm the Republic.
"For who knows which time, in the most difficult moments – the Serb people have prevailed. I thank all citizens who recognized the gravity of this moment and cast their vote for Republika Srpska," Karan said. He expressed his gratitude to the SNSD president for the policy he leads. "The Serb people and Republika Srpska can endure many things, but they cannot endure the humiliation of foreigners who want to determine the electoral will of the Serb people," Karan emphasized. He said that today the Serb people sent a clear NO to any foreigner or usurper who seeks to decide the fate of the Serb people. "The Serb people said that peace and stability are our priorities," Karan underlined at a press conference held at the SNSD Election Headquarters in Banja Luka. He added that the opposition should accept its electoral defeat with dignity. "Thank you to the citizens for giving the institutions of Srpska the power to confront those who wish to harm Republika Srpska," Karan said. He emphasized that the strength of institutions lies in the continuity of government. "That strength will now be directed toward economic growth and investment. Thank you to all citizens, Republika Srpska is moving toward new victories and toward building the Republic into an even better and more beautiful place to live!" Karan said.
