BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 16 /SRNA/ – Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić emphasized today that the Government plans to undertake a series of measures to strengthen economic governance and achieve sustainable convergence, economic growth, and employment.

"The Government plans this bearing in mind that one of the defined operational goals is the institutional and economic transformation of Srpska toward a self-sustaining, fiscally stable, and development-oriented community with a strong reliance on domestic resources," Minić said in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska while explaining the Draft Economic Reform Program of Srpska for the 2026–2028 period. He stressed that activities on drafting this program began following the guidelines of the European Commission for economic reform programs of EU candidate countries. "The commitment of the Government of Republika Srpska is for all policies it implements to be carried out jointly with the business community and trade unions," Minić added. According to him, the Government coordinated activities in Republika Srpska related to the Reform Plan in BiH for the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. "The Government instructed the ministries and institutions of Republika Srpska to take part in the implementation of activities from the Reform Agenda exclusively in line with the constitutional authorities and competences of institutions at all levels of government," Minić stated. He said that the Draft Economic Reform Program of Srpska for the 2026–2028 period includes all activities implemented so far, defines 23 measures, presents an overview of the state of play in the area of structural reforms, and sets out further directions of economic policy and the implementation of socio-economic reforms in Srpska.
