SCHMIDT’S LAWS, WRITTEN IN SARAJEVO HANDWRITING, ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 20 /SRNA/ – The Laws on the Court of BiH and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/ of BiH proposed by opposition MPs from Republika Srpska in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH are Schmidt’s laws written in the Sarajevo handwriting and are absolutely unacceptable, Staša Košarac, Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers, told SRNA.
“Under the guise of the EU path, they are once again trying to smuggle in solutions that are not the result of an internal political agreement, but merely the execution of orders from their mentor Schmidt,” Košarac said. Košarac stressed that these laws are therefore unacceptable because they have not been harmonized with the Republika Srpska institutions. He stated that the opposition from Republika Srpska has, for who knows which time, served as a conduit for Schmidt’s and Sarajevo’s interests against Republika Srpska. It is unacceptable, he said, that these two laws should even enter parliamentary debate. “It must not be allowed for decisions to be made in Sarajevo without the positions of the competent institutions of Republika Srpska. This is a dangerous political adventure with unforeseeable consequences. The opposition from Republika Srpska must take this into account,” Košarac emphasized. According to him, purveyors of empty promises and champions of populism are trying to push through these disgraceful regulations as supposedly European laws, while the truth is that they want to realize their own interests, including those of a financial nature. The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has scheduled a session for Monday, December 22, at which it is expected to review the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Court of BiH and the Bill on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/.
