BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 22 /SRNA/ – A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed in Banja Luka between the Republika Srpska Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship and the company Aktiv Israel Akril Industries, which plans to build a factory worth EUR 4 million and employ up to 160 workers.

The memorandum was signed by Republika Srpska Minister for Economy and Entrepreneurship Vojin Mitrović and David Niv, executive director of the Israeli company. The company has expressed interest in relocating its production capacities from Turkiye and launching the production of acrylic bathtubs and shower cabins, panels, washbasins, and related products in the territory of Republika Srpska, the Ministry said in a statement. The investor plans to cooperate with local educational institutions and business entities, as well as to apply modern and environmentally friendly technologies in its operations. The statement reminds that on December 11, the Government of Republika Srpska gave its consent to conclude the Memorandum of Understanding with Aktiv Israel Akril Industries. Negotiations with the company have been ongoing since December 2024, during which multiple rounds of talks were held with the Government of Republika Srpska and local self-government units. The Gradiška area was selected as the most favorable investment location. The Government of Republika Srpska and the City of Gradiška have expressed readiness to support the investment in accordance with current regulations.
