DODIK: OPPOSITION FROM REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IMPLEMENTS ALIJA IZETBEGOVIĆ’S STATEMENT ON OBEDIENT SERBS

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 22 /SRNA/ – President of the SNSD Milorad Dodik stated that the opposition from Republika Srpska is demonstrating that it is implementing the statement made by Alija Izetbegović about obedient Serbs, with whom decisions would be made jointly.

"Today /in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH/ we witnessed how this is being implemented in practical terms," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka. Dodik pointed out that those who are a minority in Republika Srpska today, together with Muslims, adopted in the House of Representatives a law that does not correspond to the interests of Republika Srpska. "Despite the fact that there is no positive stance from the Government of Republika Srpska, the National Assembly, nor from the majority of Republika Srpska, they, as a minority that is sufficient for Muslims to accomplish what they are doing, are adopting a law that is absolutely not in the interest of Republika Srpska," Dodik said. Dodik recalled that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, at a time when it was chaired by an SDS member, had stated that the seat of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH should be in Istočno Sarajevo, not Sarajevo, yet the opposition voted differently today in the House of Representatives. "They did not even implement their own decisions. They are only prepared to show servility and to implement the statement of Alija Izetbegović, who said that all he needs is a group of obedient Serbs and that everything would be resolved," Dodik said. He assessed that SDA member of parliament Midhat Čaušević today merely turned the factual situation into a public statement. Čaušević said during the session that "within a month, with five representatives, that is, with a majority from Republika Srpska and a majority from the FBiH, BiH can be brought into an enviable position."
