TRIŠIĆ BABIĆ: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA SHOWS IT IS COMMUNITY THAT CARES FOR MOST VULNERABLE
BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 26 /SRNA/ – The donor evening “With Love, Brave Hearts” has become a symbol of solidarity through which Republika Srpska demonstrates that it is a community that cares for the most vulnerable segments of society, Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić Babić said this evening in Banja Luka.
Trišić Babić said it was an honour to serve as patron of the 16th donor evening, aimed at raising funds for the establishment and equipping of centres for specialised social services for children and youth with developmental disabilities in Banja Luka, Derventa and Foča. "The donor evening, founded by Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, has become a symbol of solidarity and proof that, as a community, we recognise those who need support the most," Trišić Babić said in her address to attendees. She recalled that since the first donor evening in 2010, Republika Srpska has united in humanity to provide support to the most vulnerable, offering assistance with treatment and the reassurance that they are not alone. "From the very beginning, this initiative has focused on children, whose courage exceeds their age and whose needs require our full attention, understanding and responsibility," Trišić Babić stressed. She said this year’s campaign has a clear and long-term goal, and that is the establishment of centres that will not merely be buildings, but places of support, professional care and understanding, where children and young people will be given opportunities to progress, while their families will receive stability and security. "This project shows how institutions, professionals and society can and must act together. I want to tell parents and children that they are not alone, your struggles are visible, your strength is recognised, and Republika Srpska stands with you," Babić said, calling on everyone to support the campaign according to their abilities. She added that sincere humanitarian support is also provided by brotherly Serbia, as evidenced by the presence this evening of the envoy of Serbian President Miloš Vučević. "That support is not formal, but brotherly, sincere and lasting, and it represents strength, support and encouragement for us. Donating tonight is not merely a financial act, but an act of love, responsibility and faith in a better tomorrow," Trišić Babić said. She concluded that Republika Srpska is not measured by the size of its territory, but by the size of its heart, and is proven not by words but by deeds, as demonstrated by tonight’s campaign, which will remain a lasting mark of a responsible community.
