ŽIVKOVIĆ-RAJILIĆ: INDICTMENT AGAINST GENERAL KRSTIĆ IS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED
BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - The president of the Republika Srpska Association of Women Victims of War Božica Živković-Rajilić believes that the indictment issued by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH against Republika Srpska Army General Radislav Krstić for an alleged war crime in Novoseoci is politically motivated and has nothing to do with law or justice.
"It is satanic and malicious for the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to issue a new indictment against General Krstić, who is serving a prison sentence in Estonia under a verdict handed down by the Hague Tribunal," Živković-Rajilić told SRNA. She stated that Bosniak officials intend, in addition to Srebrenica, to accuse Serbs of genocide in other cities as well, because their ultimate goal is the abolition of Republika Srpska. "I would like to send them a message that they will never succeed in this. The Serb people are determined to defend and preserve Republika Srpska, which will be permanent, as it is internationally recognized and verified by the Dayton Peace Agreement," Živković-Rajilić concluded. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has issued an indictment against Republika Srpska Army General Radislav Krstić, charging him, in his capacity as commander of the Second Romanija Motorized Brigade, with an attack on the Bosniak-inhabited village of Novoseoci near Sokolac. The Prosecutor's Office charges Krstić with an alleged war crime against the residents of Novoseoci. General Krstić was transferred to Estonia in April, where he continued serving the 35-year prison sentence handed down by the Hague Tribunal. Krstić was arrested on December 2, 1998, and transferred to the Hague Tribunal the following day. General Krstić has repeatedly requested release, as he has served two-thirds of his sentence.
