DODIK: SRPSKA CELEBRATES ITS 34TH ANNIVERSARY AS REPUBLIC OF PEACE AND STABILITY

BRČKO, JANUARY 10 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says at a ceremonial gathering in Brčko marking Republic Day that Republika Srpska is celebrating its 34th anniversary in peace, politically stable, and as a republic that knows what it wants.

Dodik said that Republika Srpska was born out of the will of the Serb people in very unstable times, recalling that throughout history Serbs have learned that the state is the guarantor of freedom, and that without it they experience Jasenovac and many pits, suffering, killings, disappearances, and the erasure of language, culture, and faith. He stated that the decision to establish Republika Srpska in 1992 was made before the outbreak of the conflict in BiH, and recalled that during the recent Defensive–Patriotic War, Srpska controlled neralyt 70 percent of BiH’s territory, but was reduced to 49 percent under the Dayton Peace Agreement. Dodik noted that efforts to undermine the Dayton Peace Agreement began immediately after it was signed, that defending the political status of Republika Srpska has never been easy, and that until just a year ago it was nearly impossible amid the push by those who sought to finish an unfinished job in the Balkans and eliminate Srpska. "By standing up to that enormous force of political power that we saw through the previous U.S. administration and the worn-out Brussels administration, which is still offering some resistance at the end of that globalist period, we have brought Republika Srpska to its 34th anniversary - politically stable, knowing what it wants, a republic of peace and stability," Dodik emphasized.
