BLAGOJEVICH: INVESTIGATIONS INTO INFLUENCE OF "MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD" IN BiH TO BEGIN SOON, EVIDENCE EXISTS THAT THEY WERE ACTIVE HERE

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 16 /SRNA/ – One of the closest associates of the US president and former governor Rod Blagojevich has stated that connections will be uncovered and investigations launched into the influence of the terrorist organization the "Muslim Brotherhood" in BiH.

"There is strong evidence indicating that they have been active here for a very, very long time," Blagojevich told RTRS. Asked about the connections between the SDA and Alija and Bakir Izetbegović with branches of the "Muslim Brotherhood," Blagojevich said that “it is quite certain this should be expected to be only the beginning.” He noted that, as a former lawyer and prosecutor, he believes there is serious probable cause. "That they were actively involved not only because Izetbegović sent congratulations to one of the leaders of the `Muslim Brotherhood,` but also because when you look back at the history of the wars of the 1990s, the role of the mujahideen and the role of Al-Qaeda, which was open and notorious and known to everyone, it would be highly unusual if those ties had not continued into the 21st century," Blagojevich said. Blagojevich believes that once the United States launches an investigation into BiH, it will find a large amount of evidence pointing to cooperation with terrorist groups of that kind. He also stressed that there is no doubt that the Iranian government has influence within the structures of authority in BiH, and that there is no doubt that the United States government is aware that such influence exists. He assessed that branches of the "Muslim Brotherhood" in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon should have long ago been designated as terrorist organizations, as well as those in BiH. Blagojevich pointed out that part of the plan of US President Donald Trump's administration is to protect Christian countries, which are under threat from radical Islam and terrorism. He believes that "all those of Orthodox Christian faith who belong to the Serbian Orthodox Church can view this move as a step, and a significant one, toward a better opportunity to do something regarding developments here in Republika Srpska and in BiH". "We can expect similar measures against other branches of the `Muslim Brotherhood`. I believe this is only the first step, and I expect much more to follow. I sincerely believe that right here, in BiH and Republika Srpska, you will see a similar course of events," Blagojevich said. Reflecting on his stay in Republika Srpska during the New Year and Christmas holidays, Blagojevich said that celebrating Republic Day, January 9, in Republika Srpska was a great honor for him. He stated that he spent nearly two wonderful weeks in Srpska, during which he celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas, emphasizing that he has the opportunity to fight for the preservation and protection of the rights of the Serb people. He stressed that "Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska are on the front line of that fight, to protect the Serbian Orthodox Christian faith and Serbian Orthodox interests, as well as the interests of the Serb people".
